1971 Plymouth Valiant Scamp

This 1971 Plymouth Valiant Scamp
was the fourth car. And, I shared its use with my
sister. I drove it in the evening to my job, and when I
got home I'd go to bed.  My sister would get up about
4 hours later, get the keys from me,
and drive to her job.
When she returned from her job,
she'd blow the horn,
and I'd hop in and drive the 30 miles to my job,
and the cycle never ended.  Only thing was I had
to buy the gasoline for this car
 almost every other day.
It was equipped with the 318 V-8 engine
and 3-speed Chrysler automatic
transmission that got a whopping
thirteen [13] miles per gallon.
I really enjoyed driving this car
because, at the time gasoline prices were
still below 30 cents a gallon.  But
in 1973 the price of gas went through
the roof, and this car really didn't get
very good gasoline mileage.
My sister inherited this car when I bought
my 1974 Plymouth Valiant Duster.
